Connection Points

Connect Groups
...Feel your faith with family and friends.
Have you ever wondered how to enjoy meaningful relationships at church? It happens through Connect Groups. We naturally gravitate to others with similar interests, needs, stages of life, or skills.
Listed below are two ways you can connect with others, not just to find something to do, but to discover life-giving relationships that can strengthen you spiritually as well as socially. It might take a step of faith to go to one of these many group gatherings, or to sign up for one of the discipleship classes, but the payoff may be lasting…for you and someone else.
So, connect with someone in a group. No one should stand alone, struggle alone, serve alone, grow alone, or seek alone. We are in this thing together. Enjoy the best of what God is doing right here at Victorious Life Church!

_ Financial Peace University_
What could the people of God do for the kingdom of God if they were debt free? Let’s find out!
Since 2003, over 60 families have completed Financial Peace University at Victorious Life Church. On average, each family has eliminated $5,300 in debt and saved $1,000 in just 13 weeks! In addition, they have learned to control their money, instead of being controlled by it. They have learned to communicate with their spouses about money and overcome the number one cause of divorce in the US. They have found Financial Peace.
This is a video course taught by Dave Ramsey. Each session will include one hour of teaching followed by discussion and accountability.
Next class begins September 8, 2008

The Heart of the Family
Take your family on a six-week journey! As you implement the ten principles in this study, God’s plan for your family will unfold and you will learn to build on the foundation of faith that will leave a legacy for future generations.
Intelligent Design
What is our significance within the grand scheme of the universe? There is an opinion, common among scientists and intellectuals, that our Earthly existence is not only rather ordinary, but in fact, insignificant and purposeless. Though we know this is false, many times that is difficult for Christians to explain from a scientific perspective. This class will show you how God designed the whole thing and equip you to explain it from an intellectual platform. 6-week group, Session 1 (Sept. 10-Oct. 22), Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m., VLC
Life 101– Parenting
Do you want to be the best parent you can possibly be? With God’s help, you can! Raising kids is a challenge—but God is an expert on the subject. Through this study, you will discover the difference between being a “perfect parent” and being a “godly parent,” how to reflect God’s love to your children, practical tips about money, letting go, and discipline, and much more. 6-week group, Session 2 (Oct. 29-Dec. 17), Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m., VLC (Also available as PBS)
The Life You’ve Always Wanted
If you’re tired of the status quo, if you suspect there’s more to Christianity than you’ve experienced, join us on the road to transformation. God isn’t just concerned with our “spiritual” lives, He wants to impact every aspect of living. This is a video course taught by John Ortberg, including lessons such as It’s “Morphing” Time, Slowing Down and Celebrating, & Going the Distance with a Well-Ordered Heart. 6-week group, Session 1 (Sept. 10-Oct. 22), Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m., VLC
